Top 10 iPhone 17 Leaks You Need to Know

iPhone 17 Lineup Leaks: What is happening with the new iPhone 17 lineup? We keep getting more information, and it looks like this phone will be amazing.

Now, I recently did a three-month review on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and in the end, I said that out of all the recent iPhones, this was the one I could skip because the iPhone 17 is looking so good. Honestly, with all the info we have—which I will share with you—I’m having a hard time deciding which one I will buy.

iPhone 17 Lineup Redesign: A Game-Changer for Apple Fans.

iPhone 17 Lineup Redesign A Game-Changer for Apple Fans.

it looks like we’re going to have a whole redesign for the lineup because, for years, the lineup’s been kind of weird. We have a bunch of different phones — we have Maxes, we have Pluses — and some aren’t selling well. So, it looks like we are going to have the regular iPhone 17, the 17 Air, the 17 Pro, and the 17 Ultra, which is going to match up with the lineup that Apple has for their Macs.

I think this makes so much sense, and they’re all going to have distinctive features that make you want to get them, which I think is a great thing.

iPhone 17 Air: The Thinnest iPhone Yet Is Blowing Minds

I want to start with the Air because this is blowing my mind. I picked up this old iPhone 6, and it is insane how thin and lightweight it is. The crazy thing is, the Air is supposed to be even thinner. I just don’t get it — it’s going to be the thinnest phone!

Now, some people will say, “Why make a thin phone? We want great battery life like on the iPhone 16 Pro Max.” That is true, but a lot of people buy MacBook Airs just because of how thin, light, and nice they are to use. Holding this one in the hand — well, it just feels amazing.

iPhone 17: Mid-Range Redesign With Game-Changing Features

The iPhone 17 lineup is going to have just a single rear camera, which means this is not going to be the flagship device we had rumored at a much higher price. Instead, it will replace the iPhone 16 Plus, which, despite being a good phone, is not a great seller.

As for the screen size, it’s going to be somewhere in the middle—larger than the regular iPhone 17 but not as big as the Pluses or the Max, which I think is great. For example, if we look at the M4 iPad Pro, specifically the larger screen size, that device is so insanely thin and still manages to have great battery life.

This is thanks to the A19 chip, which will be an upgrade to the A18 we have now. While it’s not a huge jump, it will focus on power efficiency gains along with higher clock speeds, drawing from advancements seen in the M4 chips. The iPhone chips are now one generation behind in terms of clock speed, so this improvement will be welcome.

The Dynamic Island is also going to get smaller, which is great news. Less screen space will be taken up by it, especially when you’re watching videos.

iPhone 16 Series: Apple’s New 5G Chip, But Is It Catching Up?

Apple’s own 5G chip is built into it now, and this is going to go across all of the iPhones. I’m excited about that because, with Apple designing everything—the Bluetooth, the Wi-Fi, and the 5G in one chip—it’s going to bring more power efficiency. Finally, we’ll be catching up to what Android has.

With the iPhone 16s and the 16 Pro Max, even though they have Wi-Fi 7, they only support half the bandwidth, meaning you’re not getting the same speed as a one-year-old Samsung—and that kind of sucks. The same thing goes for 5G; it’s not the latest and greatest, and even a one-year-old Samsung is better. That sucks. Maybe Apple did that on purpose so that when they release their own, it’ll be a big step up—they are known to do that.

Why the 120Hz Smooth Screen on iPhone 17 is a Game Changer

I’m excited about the upcoming Air, and the regular 17 is a promotion finally. We are going to get ultra-smooth screens on these phones, which is the biggest reason I haven’t been able to use one. When you’re used to a Pro with 120Hz, the others just feel so laggy.

You guys can see in these slow-motion clips the difference that you get. Also, for gaming, the ability to have 120Hz is nice to make use of these very powerful chips. I know not everybody cares, especially regular people, but for those who do, this is a big deal. Now, we have to talk.

Why Apple’s Switch Back to Aluminum and the Horizontal Camera Bump Is a Smart Move.

About the latest info that’s been coming out, that’s going to apply to a lot of these phones, which is the aluminum design and that horizontal camera bump. Now, we have been expecting the horizontal camera. Some people are saying it looks ugly; personally, I kind of like it.

I think if you don’t like it, it will grow on you, and the great thing is you’re not going to have this crazy wobble on your desk anymore. But with that, we got the leak telling us that Apple is switching back to aluminum on the lineup of phones. Now, we have some more info, which is kind of going against this, and I’ll talk about how it makes sense.

Switching back to aluminum, I think, is great. Apple made a huge deal about titanium. It was a huge marketing thing, and even though it looked cool and sounded cool, I was kind of against it because titanium is not a very good conductor of heat.

We’ve had heating issues, especially with the previous gen when the titanium just came out. Aluminum transfers heat so much better, and these phones do get hot. The screens are still dim, so switching back to aluminum would be great, and that kind of brings.

iPhone’s Return to Aluminum and the New Camera Bump Design

Back to this old design of the iPhone, but that also brings up the issue of wireless charging. You know, Apple got rid of the aluminum back when they added wireless charging to the iPhone 10 and the iPhone 8. Well, it looks like we could have that camera bump made out of aluminum instead of glass, like on the new phones.

Then, below that, we have a glass section for MagSafe, so that will still be there. Personally, it does look kind of like a Pixel design, but I like it.

iPhone 17 Pro: Will Apple Stick with Titanium or Switch to Aluminum

We had some info showing us that that might not even happen at all, and Apple could stay with titanium. Now, this info is from somebody that’s not as well known, as Instant Digital, and they’re saying that the iPhone 17 Pro models will still keep titanium. How does that make sense? Honestly, I think if Apple goes

iPhone 17 Ultra: New Design, Titanium, and Capacitive Buttons.

With that lineup—the Air, the Pro, and the Ultra—because we know that Apple is going to be making an Ultra, we’ve had leaks for a couple of years. A lot of times, we get leaks ahead of time, too early in advance. So, if Apple wants to keep the Pro phone with titanium and the Ultra, which is going to have an Ultra chip with 12GB of RAM, that info has come out for the Apple intelligent features. That could be the one with this new design—something fresh, something different compared to the phones that have looked the same for many years.

Even though some people might think that going from stainless steel to titanium, then back to aluminum, doesn’t make sense for marketing, I think Apple can do a good job marketing the benefits, and the whole new design will kind of take over, especially with the vapor chamber cooling going into the Ultra phone, along with that graphite sheet. It’s just going to be marketed as designed for ultimate performance and ultimate cooling with this new design. I’m so excited because Android phones have had this for a long time, and it does help.

Even though Apple added the graphite sheet—we showed that off in our teardown of the iPhone 16 Pro—it’s still not as good. So, combining that will make the ultimate iPhone, which is the Ultra iPhone. The regular lineup is going to have that graphite sheet for improving performance but not being as focused as the Ultra.

We also had some info on the action button and the volume buttons combining into a capacitive button, as we have with the camera control. All-in-one button, with gestures to adjust your volume or you could press it in for a nicer, cleaner look. I think that will work out great, and it’s going to help with reliability as well, so that will be nice

Not planning to get an Ultra and spend that extra cash on a huge phone? What else are you going to get? Well, there are three more things that I want to cover. The first is going to be that selfie camera being 24 megapixels. The upgrade for the 16s didn’t happen on the selfie camera; it’s literally identical. Apple’s been stuck with 12 megapixels for a long time, while the Android competition has been kind of destroying it, especially in low light, where we have a lot of blurring. The sensor is not very quick with processing, so 24 megapixels will be nice—sharp photos and better low light. And with that, the telephoto on the back.

iPhone 17 Features: 24MP Selfie Camera and More Upgrades You’ll Love.

iPhone 17 Camera Leaks: 48MP Lenses, 5x Zoom, and Major Video Improvements

once again, stays the same with the 16 Pros and Pro Max, but that’s going to go up to 48 megapixels, and that is great because, when you are zooming in further than the 5x, it will help to get better detail from that nice 5x camera.

The 5x lens works great, and portraits are great with it, but if you zoom in to say 25x, it can use that extra detail, and it’ll be so nice to have all three lenses on the back to be 48 megapixels and allow you to record better video with it as well. I am super excited about those camera updates.

iPhone 17 Glass Upgrade

Especially excited about, after my 3-month review, is the upgraded glass in the iPhone. I showed off all the scratches I have after just 3 months; it is insane. Apple, with the iPhone 16 lineup, said the Ceramic Shield is twice as durable, but that is durable to cracks if you drop the phone.

However, when they made it more durable, it got softer, which means you can scratch it more easily. The iPhone 17 lineup’s glass is going to be more scratch-resistant, which is great. I want you guys to let me know:

If you bought one of these new phones, have you noticed more scratches than before if you didn’t get a screen protector? Because I have, and it is honestly really annoying. So you guys let me know if you’re interested in the new Ultra the Air, or one of the other models. If you didn’t upgrade, will you be upgrading with that 17 lineup? Let me know your thoughts on it down below.
